The Wilderness Trail in the Greater Kruger is a unique mobile walking safari experience on Big 5 terrain in South Africa. It is designed for adventurers and nature lovers looking for a walking safari experience in the African wilderness. Four days and three nights are spent in the Maseke Balule Game Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger National Park. Each night you will stay in a different place under the wide starry sky of South Africa.
Every day you follow the tracks of the wild animals through the 8,000 hectare reserve in Greater Kruger Park. Every night you'll spend in a new, fully equipped mobile camp in a scenic wilderness setting. A maximum of eight guests (four tents) embark on this hiking adventure. A professional and experienced ranger and tracker team will take you on an informative, exciting and unforgettable hiking safari into the wilderness.
On foot you will also discover the small wonders of the wilderness and learn how spiders skilfully build their ground holes with nets into insect traps and how the dung beetle rolls its beloved with its dung ball through the rough terrain. With an experienced tracker team it goes adventurously on the traces of the wild animals. They will show you how traces can be read and how you can approach the animals safely. Especially the impressive elephants are easy to observe at the rivers and an encounter at eye level will be an unforgettable experience.
